Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles Le Lycee (pronounced lee-say) LA is an international, co-ed, private day school. Teaching ages 2 -18 years on 4 age-appropriate campuses in West Los Angeles.

Founded in 1964. No French required to enroll. WE TEACH THE WORLD. Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles offers a classic education in an international environment to students with the choice of an English-language college prep program and another entirely taught in French. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and fully recognized by the French Ministry of Education. The

school has some 800 pupils from more than 55 countries, 60 percent of whom are U.S. citizens. Over the last five decades years Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles has graduated hundreds of students who have enrolled in the most prestigious colleges and universities in the world, and proceeded to distinguish themselves in the arts, humanities and sciences.

Alumni Matters - Jodie Foster (1980) receives Légion d'Honneur

Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles President and alumna Clara-Lisa Kabbaz (1979) traveled to Paris to celebrate fellow alumna Jodie Foster as she received the Légion d'Honneur, France's highest distinction, from President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.

Their lifelong friendship began at Le Lycée, where Jodie learned the French language and cultural foundation that helped shape her remarkable journey.

New Family Brunch on the Main Campus!

This morning new parents and students were greeted by our faculty, staff, administrators, parent, and student ambassadors, creating an opportunity to make new connections and experience the close-knit community that makes our school so special.

Our youngest guests were treated to special musical performances by the incredible Miss Sarah. Meanwhile, older students got to know one another over giant Connect 4, corn hole, and other games while everyone enjoyed refreshing treats and drinks to help beat the heat. Welcome Back Lycée Family!

Today, we were excited to welcome our faculty and staff back to campus. It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces, hear about summer adventures, and welcome our newest colleagues.

A highlight was Mme Kabbaz's presentation on the rich history of our Overland Campus, as the daughter of Le Lycée's founders, she shared a unique perspective on the school's journey, from the campus's early days as the Porter Sanitarium and its appearance in a Little Rascals film to its transformation into Le Lycée's Main Campus in 1967. It was even more meaningful to have Mme Kabbaz's children in attendance, representing a third generation connected to the school's story.

We're especially proud that many of our employees have been with Le Lycée for more than 15 years, with some serving our community for over 35 years. Their dedication reflects the strong traditions, sense of community, and commitment to educational excellence that define Le Lycée.

A delicious summer tradition at Le Lycée! Staff and faculty gathered for our favorite annual lunch treat: "Sandwich Day". Featuring homemade French specialties, including rillettes, charcuterie, cheeses, fresh salads, and incredible freshly baked baguettes and desserts.
