Hearing nothing but good news from my seniors this week:33s and 35s on the ACT (highest score is 36). Congratulations, guys!
Nothing like starting off the week with a 100+ point score raise for a hard working SAT student--woo-hoo!

About us:
Kim Swennen
- Kim received her Bachelors from Yale University and her Masters from
London's Central School of Speech and Drama, concentrating on
Shakespeare in performance.
For over eight years, Kim has worked privately and for a
number of prestigious firms - in New Haven, London, and now Los Angeles
- as tutor, classroom instructor, and new-tutor trainer. She has
also contributed in the development of new educational practice
materials, and in the summers she teaches mathematics to middle and high
school students at the Summer Institute for the Gifted at UCLA.
Kim, believe it or not, loves doing math, and finds
incredible fulfillment in helping others to discover their own enjoyment
of the subject. She grew up in the French educational system, and so
also specializes in French language instruction. A freelance web
designer, as well as an avid Shakespeare lover, she is still clearly
confused about that supposed right-brain/left-brain dichotomy...

About us:
Kwana Martinez - Kwana specializes in tutoring the
humanities, social sciences, and test prep. She is a graduate of Laurel
School for Girls, Vassar College (BA) and Harvard University (MFA).
For over a decade, Kwana has taught in classrooms and
privately coached students from the kinder to the collegiate level in
New York, Boston, and Los Angeles, with a focus on English, literature,
poetry, writing, and public speaking. In Los Angeles, she has tutored
and trained new tutors for several prominent test prep companies in
addition to her considerable work creating and teaching supplemental
writing and arts programs for NPOs and after school programs.
Kwana is an avid fan of reading and words, so naturally she loves
to play Scrabble; loves nutrition and food, so she is an enthusiastic
and experimental cook, and enjoys teaching and tutoring because of her
deep desire to share information and help others succeed (or determine)
their goals.
