The American Board of Sports and Performance Psychiatry is proud to collaborate on Mental Edge: AI, Sports, and the Future of Psychiatry, an approved APA Allied Meeting taking place during the APA Annual Meeting in San Francisco.

This event represents an exciting collaboration between premier organizations and universities, bringing leadership together to advance the field through shared vision, alignment, and progress.

The panel, Advancing Sports Psychiatry: Collaborative Leadership, Certification, and the Future of the Field, will provide psychiatrists with valuable insight into emerging certification pathways, training opportunities, and the growing professional community within this rapidly evolving subspecialty.

As sports psychiatry continues to expand, collaboration across organizations is essential to establishing standards, increasing access, and supporting clinicians interested in this work.

“Expanding the Field: An Introduction to Sports Psychiatry & Interdisciplinary Mental Health Care in Athletes.”

It was an honor for Mark R. Allen, MD and Brook Choulet, M.D. to moderate a powerful discussion with four incredible panelists leading the way in athlete mental health:

During the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting, the American Board of Sports and Performance Psychiatry held an allied meeting for sports psychiatry enthusiasts, featuring a fireside chat with NFL player, Deonté Harty

The room was vibrant and engaged, demonstrating the growing interest in this field. It was incredible to have over 80 attendees come together for this reception, and we look forward to doing it again next year!
