The History Department is launching a new film series! The films, suggested by students, faculty, and staff will range widely in genre. Some will be documentaries. Others may be period pieces that raise questions about, among other things, the genre of historical fiction. Still others will embody or address methodological issues of the sorts that historians confront. But they will all be fantastic films and offer food for thought and discussion. So shall we. Indeed, at each event we shall provide hearty, delicious, and nutritious meal. And after each screening we shall host an informal discussion -- think book or film club -- for those members of our community who wish to reflect collectively on the film!
Please join us for our inaugural screening of the fascinating, entertaining, quirky, and award-winning German film from 1990, The Nasty Girl (Das schreckliche Mädchen). | April 15 , SOS 250.
RSVP here https://forms.gle/uMnAgnhASWUXkmpVA or by emailing Jason Glenn ([email protected]).
Questions or suggestions for films we might screen later in the series? Feel free to contact Jason Glenn ([email protected]).
