A big birthday shout-out to our favorite chef, Charlotte, who has been keeping us very well fed (and perhaps a little overfed!) in France for the past 18 years! Who knew that a pie-in-the-sky idea for a craft retreat would turn into 18 summers of fabulous meals, endless laughter, a little chaos, and a friendship we treasure! We can’t imagine a summer in France without Charlotte — or her cooking! Happy Birthday to you Charlotte! ❤️

What a wonderful two retreats we shared at Warm Brook Barn in Vermont with Suzette Smart. Our days were filled with dyeing fabric, slow stitching, gathering around the table, and breathing in the crisp Vermont air — all good things for the soul. 🍂🧵 Thanks Meleen Dupré for having us back year after year!

When we first designed our loungewear collection, it was important to me that all of the prints could be mixed and matched. Two years later, we’ve added a few new pajamas to the collection, and I love seeing how beautifully they all work together — kimonos, pajamas, old prints and new.

Using my collection of old quilt blocks this week for inspiration. I love the wonkiness of some and the perfection of others. Each one captures the maker’s hand—which makes them so interesting. My favorite block has always been the Log Cabin. Picture #3 is a wool challis variation from 1875 known as a Housetop pattern - I gotta try to hand stitch this block! 🧵🪡
