Every name tells a story—and our children are learning how to build theirs! 🧩✨

During our morning arrival activity, the children used personalized puzzle pieces to put the letters of their names in the correct order. With a visual guide for support, they practiced letter recognition, sequencing, problem-solving, and independence.

These may look like simple morning activities, but important early literacy skills are growing one letter at a time! đź’›

When families entrust their babies to our care, they also allow us the beautiful privilege of witnessing and supporting some of life’s most precious milestones. From standing independently to taking those brave first steps, every new achievement is celebrated with patience, encouragement, and plenty of cheers!

While parents may not be present for every step that happens during the day, they can feel confident knowing their little ones are surrounded by teachers who recognize the importance of these moments and are excited to share the joy with them.

At Royal Learning Center, we don’t simply watch children grow—we lovingly encourage them every step of the way. 👑

He may not be using clear words just yet, but make no mistake—he is “reading!” 📖💙

As he explores Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? with the support of his teacher, he studies the pictures, listens closely, and eagerly attempts to recite the familiar words. For a child this young to show such excitement and interest in a book is truly beautiful.

These early experiences build reading readiness, language development, listening skills, memory, and an understanding of how books work. Long before children can read the words on a page, they begin seeing themselves as readers—and that is exactly what we’re witnessing in our Amber classroom at RLC1. 👑

His first week of school is off to a wonderful start! 💙 He’s adjusting beautifully and was completely engaged in this creative ice-painting experience prepared by Ms. Latasha. Using colorful frozen paint and popsicle sticks, he explored colors, textures, and creativity while strengthening his fine-motor skills. Learning can be pretty cool! 🧊🎨👑

🫧 Clean hands begin with consistent routines!

While the children line up to wash their hands, Ms. Kentaya reinforces the steps through the “Tops and Bottoms” handwashing song. Singing helps children remember to wash the tops and bottoms of their hands, between their fingers, and all around.

This is what intentional teaching looks like: using everyday moments to develop healthy habits, independence, and lifelong skills. 🎶🧼

⏰ What happens first? What comes next?

As we begin a new school year, our children are learning how to sequence the steps of a morning routine. Sequencing helps them understand order, anticipate what comes next, build independence, and feel more confident as they prepare for school each day.

At Royal Learning Center, our curriculum is a thoughtful blend of purposeful play and intentional academic learning. Children aren’t simply playing—and they aren’t expected to sit and complete worksheets all day. They are learning through meaningful, hands-on experiences designed to prepare them for school and life. 👑💙
