This trip has been the trip of a lifetime
So many high lights. I truly hope all the students have enjoyed this experience, and have grown as individuals and ad basketball players. The standard of play and behavior has been outstanding. Well done everyone, and thanks to our host schools, the parents who joined us and helped along the way. Special thanks go to Bob and Johno.

Our activity day

12/17/2014

Just a quick update.
Yesterday was a 12 hour Disneyland adventure. A long but fun day. So much attention to detail. So much fun, finishing with fireworks at the Disney castle.
We are about to head off for our game at the Staples Centre. Should be really good, and then tonight we watch the Clippers play. Hi from Riley xx

Today and yesterday, our travels

12/16/2014

Just when things were starting to wind down, we had another massive day today. This morning we went to UCLA, it was great. The gym whers the bruins play, the hall of fame and the bookshop, 2hours later, we went to Santa Monica, and went for a walk along the pier. A burger for lunch, icecreams and off fo Venice beach, for a shoot around and some gymnastics.
Then both teams had angood solid match against another school staying in the hotel with us, St Norments from Perth. THe girls played a great game running some good transitin offense, to take strong lead into half-time.They stayed focused, ran their offense and played ztong defense. THey held on to win by 6points.It is really pleasing to see how far this group of girls have come, in the last 12 months and the improvement over the tour. WELL DONE ladies.
The boys really found their rhythm today. A strong game. They started well, then let St Norments have a 20point to 5point run coming into half time witha three point lead. The second half saw to boys play some excellent offense and slowed down the fast transition game of St Norments, to secure a good win, 47 to 45points. It was an excellent team effort with all players contributing on the score board, and playing accountable defense.
Well done to both teams. Make sure you continue to build on your individual and team game when we get back to WA. The tour has been an amazing opportunity for all of us, and everyone has benefitted from the exposure to basketball the US High School way.
Tomorrow we head to Disneyland, which although tired, are looking forward to, and then Wednesday we play at the Staple Centre.
