☀️A day in Ventura, California!🌴

From sunny beaches and ocean views to good conversations, new friendships and unforgettable moments! Our trip to Ventura was the perfect way to experience a little more of what California has to offer outside of the classroom!

Our students had the chance to explore this beautiful coastal city, enjoy some time by the ocean and, of course, had plenty of laughs along the way.

When your plans are “up in the air” and you take it WAY too literally😂✈️

When something is “still up in the air”, it means it hasn’t been finalized or decided yet -this is a good term if you need to express uncertainty about a future plan!

Who would have thought that animals across the world also speak different languages??!

We went around the CWC office (and beyond) and asked students and staff members from 7 different countries how dogs 🐶 and roosters 🐓 sound like in their language!

Some people tend to look at the big picture, others see the tiny, completely irrelevant detail in the bottom-right corner and refuse to move on until it’s addressed… that’s what most college professors are by the way (but not here, not at CWC we swear!!!🤞🏼)

It’s a good word to add to your vocabulary!

Studying English abroad with Columbia West College doesn’t mean that you’re stuck in a classroom🤫 quite the opposite… we are taking you OUTSIDE!

This past week our school partnered with Ale’s Cup beach volleyball tournament as one of the official beach volleyball tournament sponsors!

Beach volleyball is a big part of the Californian lifestyle: take a stroll by the beach in Santa Monica and you’ll see dozens of teams playing each other on the sand🏐🏖️

Thank you Ale’s Cup beach volleyball tournament for such an incredible event!🙏🏼🇧🇷
