The Undergraduate Student Colloquium in Armenian Studies at UCLA aims to showcase Armenian research conducted by undergraduates throughout California.

The Undergraduate Student Colloquium in Armenian Studies at UCLA provides an opportunity for Californian undergraduate students to showcase their research relating to Armenian studies in any subject: history, literature, life and physical sciences, economics, gender studies, sociology, anthropology, art history, and much more. The event is typically held once a year in February. Check out our page for updates.

Due to reduced funding from California State, the UC system has decided to cut funding for the Armenian studies program at UCLA among other programs at UCLA. The deadline for submitting the needed funding to maintain the Armenian studies programs for the rest of the school year has been identified as October 31st.

Join us on February 1st, 2018 for our annual Undergraduate Colloquium in Armenian Studies at UCLA. The location is Royce Hall 314 from 3:30-7pm. Keep in mind that you can come and go as you please to see a specific presentation, and there will be a free reception, open to all, with great food following the event. Come support your fellow friends and colleagues as they present their research!

The deadline for submitting the abstracts is now behind us. Thank you to all those who sent us their research abstracts and CVs. Our team is currently reviewing all the materials and will notify you shortly whether you will be presenting at the Colloquium. Either way you all should be proud of yourselves for taking this next step in your academic careers!

As you prepare your application you might want to start thinking about how you will present your research if your abstract is chosen!

This Thursday, November 9, there is a workshop about "Sharing Your Research" at the Powell Library. Make sure to stop by and learn effective strategies for everything from talking about your research to conference presentations, and get tips on where and how to publish your work.
