Last night was a little easier than today. Today was a serious struggle for me. If it wasn't for "Grinding Breaunna", "O.C.D. Karen" (LOL) & my sissy, "Easy-go'in Michelle" NOTHING & I mean NOTHING would have gotten done today. Thanks to them showing up, their encouragement & willingness to GET THE JOB DONE, I had no choice but to push myself. Shoot, I had to do my part. I couldn't be looking like a lazy bumb in front of company :-D and we made lots of progress. ! This was another girls night out. HEY-HEY-HEY!!! So who's joining Sarah, Kaila, Da'Neisha & me tomorrow? INTRODUCING ... Tiny Babe's Preparatory Academy's House Crests! TBPA will use the House System as our tool to reward each house for their awesome behavior. Each house will be rewarded points DAILY for their triumphs & noble behavior and minused points for breaking rules and being disruptive. At the end of the year the house with the most points will win a end of the year party in their honor, plus bragging rights until the following year. :-) Usu (yellow), which means EXCELLENCE in Korean, Ujasiri (red), which means COURAGE in Swahili, Seigo-sei (blue), which means INTEGRITY in Japanese, our 4th house, Bujari (green-on the next post), means GENEROSITY in Albanian. TBPA seeks to encourage, implement and reinforce college and career awareness for all young learners, especially our 4th and 5th graders, through a variety of real-world experiences. Our students will engage deeply into these real-world experiences by joining one or more of the the following teams.

DEBATE TEAM: The students from TBPA will participate in several debate activities, assignments and events that will cause for our debate students to compete in various debate conferences. This program requires students to research, debate, and caucus on pressing international issues (such as child protection, freshwater resources and more) as they engage in authentic simulations.

STEM TEAM: The students integrate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education) by creating, building, and programming robots to solve real-world challenges. Our students will compete regularly in various competitions.We focus on these areas together not only because the skills and knowledge in each discipline are essential for student success, but also because these fields are deeply intertwined in the real world and in how students learn most effectively.

THE AQUARIUM TEAM: The Long Beach Aquarium has offered Tiny Babe’s Preparatory Academy opportunities that provide extended and enhanced marine studies and research to our 2nd through 5th graders. Our Aquarium Team will participate in activities that broaden their knowledge of thousands of species of marine life and complie data on everything from visitor interactions at different exhibits to whale shark rates of speed while swimming. The students observe how the animals are fed and taken care of behind the scene; the part that visitors rarely see. Each student will have his/her identification badge, and employee shirt.

VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS TEAM: This team is introduced to different forms of creative activity. Forms such as ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking and architecture. Many artistic disciplines (performing arts, conceptual art, textile arts) involve various aspects of the visual arts. Our students will perform before live audiences and on closed set film productions.

GLOBAL STUDIES & TRAVEL: TBPA is committed to creating global citizens; therefore, as funding is available, our students will be taken on national and international trips. Prior to these trips, students are required to learn about the history, cultures, religions, education systems, and economies of the places we will visit. An emphasis is also placed on service to these communities. It is our plan for our students to travel to various cities, states and provinces in all seven (7) continents by the time they graduate from 5th grade.

Piano Teacher...
Dr. King Dale Felton is the Pastor and Founder of More Sure Word Training Center, and More Sure Word Bibles and Books. Dr. King Dale was called to ministry and became ordained in 1985. Additionally, he has received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies, and a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from Bible Believers Christian College & Seminary. He also received a Doctoral Degree in Ministry from Next Dimension University which is located in Ontario, California. He is currently serving on the faculty of Next Dimension University as a professor in the Sacred Music Department. His outstanding qualities are reflected by his expertise in teaching music, his musical adeptness and leadership skills. Dr. King is the founder of More Sure Word School of Music and has exemplified outstanding leadership in the community by providing affordable music lessons for 40 years. He is the author of the “How to Play Traditional and Contemporary Gospel Music” Book and DVD series. In addition to being an educator, Dr. King is also a lecturer, composer, and workshop coordinator. As former Owner and Director of Korporate Kids Family Home Child Care, Karin Scales obtains a thorough background in Administration and Operational Management. Karin became highly respected in the Los Angeles community for her reputable leadership skills while operating as Lead Teacher and Director of Kids Preparatory Academy for 12 years. Karen is exceptionally creative and extensively skilled in curriculum planning and development, special programs development, leadership training and enrollment recruitment. Proof of Karin’s ability to produce will always reflect in the proven abilities and test scores of her students. Her experience, reputation and unmatched success in Business and as an Early Childhood Educator has afforded her the opportunity to be hand-picked for the Child Care Director position at Tiny Babe’s Preparatory Academy.
