Launched in September 2010, VCES continues to grow and commit itself to ensure that every student achieves success in his or her learning. VCES serves the whole child and fosters in each student a lifelong commitment to intellectual exploration, individual growth, and social responsibility. Our emphasis on Project-Based Learning allows children to be actively involved in their own learning. Children are engaged in literacy through daily Readers' and Writers' Workshops. Singapore Math is used across the grade levels with a heavy emphasis on problem-solving and mathematics fluency. Our rigorous program emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration, and responsibility.
