Mental Health First Aid is one of those things a lot of people have heard about… but not everyone fully understands yet. 💚
The best way to think about it? It’s like CPR, but for mental health.
You do not need to be a therapist, psych major, or mental health professional to take it. You just need the willingness to learn how to better support someone who may be struggling, in crisis, or simply not acting like themselves.
Our upcoming Production Mental Health First Aid training on March 27 is designed to help you learn how to apply MHFA specifically for cast and crew, with practical support strategies for real situations on-set, on-location, and in production workplaces. Reserve your spot now! 🎬🗓️
A special thank you to The Vibe with Ky for inviting Dr. Alexis to talk up MHFA and for always being such a strong advocate for Mental Health 👏🏽 You can watch our full interview: https://thevibewithky.com/2024/05/05/how-to-master-mental-health-first-aid-ft-dr-alexis-moreno/

Wit & Reason’s advisory and training work is led by Dr. Alexis Moreno & Alex Honigman.
Dr. Moreno is a former child actor and doctor of clinical community psychology whose work focuses on behavioral risk, decision-making under visibility, and psychological readiness in creative and production environments. Her background in media and psychology allows her to translate behavioral science into practical guidance leaders can use when stakes are high and scrutiny is real.
Alex Honigman is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience supporting individuals and organizations navigating stress, conflict, and high-stakes interpersonal dynamics. His work centers on leadership judgment, relational risk, and decision sequencing in complex, fast-moving environments.
Psychological science is not vague on this. Living under constant threat harms mental health, families, and entire communities. Not just immigrants. Everyone. The APA finally said it out loud and backed it with decades of research, not opinions.
Here is the real question. What should psychologists and professional organizations actually do next besides posting statements? Education is step one. Action is step two.
Comment with what you think accountability looks like. Silence is a choice and it has consequences.
