In keeping with the Jesuit and Marymount traditions, LMUCC incorporates diversity into a values-centered curriculum. LMUCC’s early childhood professionals are committed to educating the whole child – socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually – to set the stage for life-long learning. Based on developmentally appropriate practice, the curriculum focuses on play, creativity and hands-on discovery learning for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. In addition to providing a valuable service to the LMU community, LMUCC is designed to be a teaching and research facility for the University. Our facilities are set-up to accommodate research and observation. In addition, the Program provides an opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students in Education, Psychology, and other areas to acquire first-hand experience working with infants and toddlers on an individual basis or in a group setting.
