The "NextMed/MMVR: Medicine Meets Virtual Reality" website (NextMed.com) has just been updated with materials going back to the first conference, in 1992. Researchers working in healthcare applications of virtual reality, simulation, modeling, visualization, imaging, robotics, and related technologies may enjoy exploring this newly expanded archive.
MMVR/NextMed - Medicine Meets Virtual Reality
From 1992 - 2016, the "NextMed/MMVR: Medicine Meets Virtual Reality" conference presented emerging tools for patient care and medical education.
Archival materials are available at http://nextmed.com. Our final conference, NextMed/MMVR22, took place April 7 - 9, at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel. Please visit http://www.nextmed.com to explore archival materials from that and previous gatherings.

Roller coasters are fun but the views from amusement parks are often of bland suburban landscapes. Why not add VR for a more thrilling backdrop? (Entertainment dollars fund a lot of R&D, by the way, and engineering progress frequently flows into more prosaic domains, like healthcare.)
