we are muted this week as part of and will not be posting content. this initiative was created by + .msrd (please follow their work). as we are learning, we will continue to repost & tag content from BIPOC. i ( ) am humbly reflecting and focusing on learning how to be anti-racist and taking a stand against systemic oppression. i am committed to striving to do better. as Maya Angelou said, “when you know better, you do better.” i am focusing on following, amplifying, and supporting black voices and taking responsibility that i and are committed to improving. in lieu of a podcast episode i will be listening to anti-racist podcast episodes from others & will share them here if you’d like to listen as well.

collaboration in creative projects in process is everything. looking forward to our final group workshop call of the semester today. there’s so much connection and encouragement that comes from these calls and it’s the best part of this workshop. image from:

it’s a weird time to do anything. i don’t think forcing ourselves to be productive or creative now or ever is useful however, if/ when it does feel good to create great. i often wish i could force productivity or creativity but usually both hit me when i’m not expecting it and can’t be summoned. photo: //

...or in the pandemic....
are you guys finding you’re on your devices more now? i mentioned i was listening to podcasts less in my last post, is that true for you guys too? i think it’s because i’ve actually been on the phone and sending voice texts more, which is the best use of phones i guess. either way it’s still a nice time to make a podcast. and this is your friendly reminder it’s the last week to join me. if you were thinking about it but unsure or cost is an issue as at just email me ([email protected] and we’ll figure it out. photo:: ps. if you’re feeling weird about the amount you’re using your phone is a partner of ‘s and the best resources on digital wellness i’ve found.

how are you guys doing? what’s coming out of quarantine for you? are you listening to more podcasts? are you listening less? i am for some reason listening way less. maybe because i’m talking on the phone more? or commuting less.

listen, the workshop is still happening. i’d love to have you if you’d like to join. it’s the last time i’m running it in this format and if you’d like to join let me know. **if money is an issue during this tumultuous time dm me we will figure it out. decided to offer a sliding scale for podcasters in need. love, katie

this is a video of our sweet participant about their time in the workshop.
the new podcast 🎙 rose made while in the workshop, Imposter Syndrome is about how one of the greatest hurdles for artists is fear. artist and self-diagnosed clown, rose arscott invites artists around the world to join in a conversation about their fears. the conversations cover art-making, but also touch upon queerness, gender, bodies, s*x, self-care, community, growth, activism, plants, and more. —> it was such a cool honor to watch this project come to life. it is exactly the type of project I’d hoped to create within this workshop. we had dozens of podcast entries this semester and i just listened through all them and have chosen 3 to air on LET IT OUT. I can’t wait for you to hear them. the entires included ranged from shows on jewish studies, montessori education, cannabis, herbalism, to human resources & so many interview shows! ***if you have ever considered starting a podcast and would like creative community around that project. my workshop is about to launch again starting april 1 so please DM me with questions or mark your calendars for march 12th because I’ll be doing a IG live mini podcasting workshop then!
and if you want to sign up now use the code: “letitout” for an early bird discount. ((it’s filling up quick)) rose is one of the winners who will have a clip of their episode aired on the march 19th episode of LET IT OUT. they are clearly way cool.
