✨👓A New Lens on Accessibility 👓✨
Ryan Theobald, a 2nd-year E-OTD student, was recently featured on KTLA 5 Morning News sharing how Meta AI smart glasses are helping people who are blind or have low vision navigate everyday life with greater independence during his fieldwork at the Braille Institute.
From reading menus and explaining prescription labels to providing detailed descriptions of what’s in front of the user, assistive technology is expanding what’s possible in everyday occupations. It’s inspiring to see occupational therapy at the forefront of helping people integrate emerging technology to support greater independence, accessibility, and meaningful participation in daily life!
