He formed many strong relationships with the individual Student Workers over the years and made impacts that will last lifetimes. Fr. Buckley never tired of affirming the important hard work and the indispensable role of the Student Workers within the LMU community. Just before Thanksgiving, we lost an invaluable member of our LMU community. Rev. Thomas Buckley, S.J. taught in the History Department from 1973 to 1998, and returned in 2012. Father Buckley was always a noble supporter of the Student Worker Program. We are honored that he is a part of our history and we will keep him with us during all of our jobs.

Happy first week back at school! As Welcome Weekend has passed and classes have begun, we would like to congratulate our Rookies on completing their first Crew job!

After our 2017 National Recyclemania Championship, LMU has been ranked the #6 most sustainable school in the country by the Sierra Club. Thank you to the university's wonderful employees in the Recycling Yard, without which we could not have received this recognition. The Student Worker Program is proud to have been working in the Yard since we established it in 1990!

The LMU Student Worker Program is a group of 24 tireless students that work for the university in order to finance their education. The application for Fall 2017 entry is now open to both first year and continuing students! The deadline to submit your application is May 29.
