Here is a short video showing whales bubble net feeding. The group of whales we just passed at the Dixon Entrance (June 9. 2026 5:30pm) were feeding using this same strategy filmed in Juneau. I’ve never seen whales using this strategy in this area! This video was taken on a Juneau whale watching excursion!!

Welcome to Ketchikan! Here are some suggestions. Be sure to walk Creek Street. Burger Queen has wonderful halibut burgers. The fish house is the most popular restaurant for fish. Island Brew Coffee is the best! You’ve also got the city museum and the totem cultural center about a 10 minute walk from Creek Street. If you want the best eagle pics take the Bering Sea Crab excursion!

Here are some suggestions for Juneau. The best restaurant in Juneau for fish is The Hanger. At the end of Franklin Street is an outdoor food court that everyone enjoys. The picture of the trail boardwalk is called the Flume Trail accessed via the Perseverance Trail. Hope you have a wonderful day in Juneau.

Some information for Skagway!
A nice easy walk close to the ship is Smugglers Cove. Look for the Arctic Terns. The train is a wonderful experience, especially if this is your first time to Skagway. The coffee shop is a nice place to warm up! Fry Bread is closed 😢. Lower Dewey Lake is a nice hike for the energetic takes about 25 minutes to get to the lake. The National Historical Park visitor center tells the story of the Klondike. The Corrington Museum has a fascinating private collection worth a look.
Hope you have a great day Skagway! FYI
Steve Hites show at 7pm in the Phantom Theater is a must!
