I started this school on April 16 Th. I needed to make extra money to support my family. Thank's to Lou's great advice and excellent training I now have two jobs behind a bar. I start training on Monday for one, and will be making cash in hand($100.00-$150.00 tips)by Tue night. BULLETIN: Bartenders Training Institute is only good for those people: a) who want to be REALLY good at Bartending (thanks LOU!); b) who want to know how to mix & INVENT the best TASTING drinks (thanks LOU!)... because you actually know you're craft; c) who want to be placed at the best locations after you graduate (i.e. premier clubs, hotels, golf courses, special events, etc.... (THANKS, CINDY!!!). --- No BS, Cindy told me about a job, corrected my resume, and by the time I made it home to change my clothes Cindy called the event manager and worked her magic (everyone in town knows CINDY BENSON) and I was offered the job! ~ I was given my schedule without even going to their orientation!... 2 HOURS FLAT! - [$$$] ...BARTENDER'S TRAINING INSTITUTE & STAFFING!! .... !!! I only have positive things to say about this school. After briefly talking to Cindy on the phone, I immediately knew I wanted to go to this no nonsense bartending school, where I was told to just stop by and look around. Cindy and Lou definitely know what they're doing, and their method gets results in the form of jobs. Lou is an incredible teacher... he has more passion and knowledge about his field than some university professors. He has a way of teaching that goes beyond simply conveying information; you learn from him. He explains the histories and stories behind the bottles, and it's incredibly fascinating. Cindy is extremely helpful in helping students find work and thrive in the competitive bartending scene. You learn more than how to obtain a bartending job with Cindy, you learn how better deal with bartenders, owners, and customers that will benefit you for life. Her helpfulness when dealing with people is impeccable. Even though I've already graduated with a bachelor's from UCSD, I feel like I have continued to learn and grow under the tutelage of Cindy and Lou.
