Volunteer Day is less than TWO weeks away. What are you doing not signed up yet?! Check out these sites that still need some more volunteers:

1️⃣ Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles: Volunteers will partner with the Resident Advisory Council and community groups to clean and beautify public spaces. Tasks include tending gardens, painting over graffiti, picking up litter, raking leaves, planting flowers, and sprucing up the new playground near the Boys & Girls Club.

2️⃣ Dominguez Park – City of Carson: This community park features an activity room, tennis courts, aquatic center, and picnic areas. Volunteers will help with beautification tasks like painting benches, gardening, and refreshing planters.

3️⃣ Westwood Greenway: This city-owned open space features a bioswale that treats urban runoff and native plants that support biodiversity. Volunteers will jump into stewardship tasks like trimming shrubs, pulling invasive weeds, deadheading, picking up litter, and placing green waste into city bins. Gloves, tools, and directions will be provided.

4️⃣ Willowbrook Garden: A project fostered by the Los Angeles Community Garden Council since 2014. Volunteers will assist with planting, gardening, pulling weeds, cleaning plots, transferring mulch, and other maintenance tasks around the garden.
