To the Q***r Community of Oxy: The events of late concerning QSA and affiliated e-board members have left many in the q***r community, particularly ace/aro-spec people and POC, feeling excluded from a space that, though always meant for them, was never truly built for them beyond the superficiality of the name. In light of this, the e-board of QSA would like to issue a formal apology to those excluded by our actions and practiced rhetoric, and to the entire q***r community, for the exclusionist comments we have made, actions we have executed, and atmosphere we have created. Additionally, we would like to issue a formal apology to the q***r community for acting as a divisive force instead of one that works to unite the community as a whole.

In the interest of moving forward and learning from our mistakes, we will be adding to our page an anonymous survey where people can submit thoughts, suggestions, questions, concerns, or anything else they would like us to know. We would also like to formally invite any and all interested members of the q***r community to join e-board and help QSA become a truly inclusive and active q***r space on campus.

Hello Folks!

Don’t forget to come to our weekly meeting tonight (Thursday) at 8 PM in the Bengal Room!

We have a guest from Project SAFE to explain a project they are working on with us, we have our mission statement to show y’all, and we would like to address the incident at Georgia Tech that occurred on Saturday evening, leading into a more general discussion regarding mental health in the q***r community; an Emmons Counselor will be on hand, and this is a safe space where people are free to talk about their own experiences or other things that are bothering them. Remember that what happens here at QSA meetings stays at QSA.

The involvement fair is quickly approaching (tomorrow on the quad from 11:30-1:30 to be exact) and QSA is looking for interested members of the q***r community to lend a helping hand! Walking around the quad promoting our group or sitting in at our table would mean the world to us and would be a great chance to meet new people on campus!
