A safe place for actors to think differently, take risks, connect and excel. Home of The Chakra Appr

ABOUT THE WORK has been inspiring actors to take risks and get out of their comfort zone since 2013. Our creative sanctuary allows actors to feel connected and motivated to accept the challenge to go deeper in the collective pursuit of excellence. Led by Artistic Director Murisa Harba, students meet once a week in our virtual format to be challenged, motivated and inspired to take risks with their craft. We believe it is important to create and maintain an environment that is supportive, and our studio has been designed to be a safe place for actors to be pushed out of their comfort zones on an ongoing basis. If you are constantly doing the same old, good work, you are not growing. By pushing into the unknown, we teach you to turn the uncomfortable into the comfortable and to raise the bar by always reaching for that next level.

Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity, because if you’re passionate about something, then you’re more willing to take risks.

One of the values we live by at ATW is Go Deeper. Go Beyond.

Once you have the tools to think differently, you can keep pushing your storytelling further. We want actors to explore the experience they’re creating for the audience.

Because ultimately, who is the director trying to reach? The audience. 🎬

One of the values we live by at ATW: A Safe Place to Take Risks.

The best creative work asks us to stretch, and that takes courage!

We fiercely protect a space where actors can experiment, take risks, fail, try again, and discover something new in their craft.

We practice the courage of getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.
