"Preview Day" begins this week. Students will have an opportunity to receive their classes, textbooks, lockers, uniforms, etc.

The following are the days for each class. Last names A-L should arrive by 9 am, and last names M-Z should arrive by 1 pm

Seniors (Class of 2014): Wednesday, July 31
Juniors (Class of 2015): Thursday, August 1
Sophomores (Class of 2016): Friday, August 2
Freshmen (Class of 2017): Friday, August 9

"'It's a self-sustaining aquaponic garden,' said Jordan Keligond, a sophomore at Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnet High School, as if it were as common as a toaster. The waste gives off nitrogen for the lettuce to grow, and in turn, the plants provide filtered water back to the fish..."

A plastic drink dispenser filled with a brilliant green liquid sat on the classroom counter, but no one dared take a sip. The murky water contained goldfish, and a small hose carried its waste into a container full of leafy greens.
