Celebrating 25 years of impact through the voices of the people who helped shape CCCP. 💙💛

For Cynamon Mantley ’18, CCCP was more than a pathway to UCLA. It was a reminder that students from underserved and underrepresented communities belong in higher education, at UCLA, and wherever their journeys take them.

“CCCP made UCLA more accessible to students like me… and it showed us that we belong here and anywhere in the world. We deserve a seat at the table.”

Cynamon’s story is part of a legacy built by generations of transfer students, alumni, staff, and community partners who continue to expand what is possible.

As CCCP celebrates 25 years, we honor the people, stories, and communities that have made this work possible. ✨

For Jewel Bourne ’16, CCCP was more than a transfer resource. It was a living example of what higher education can become when students are genuinely supported, valued, and encouraged to see themselves within it.

“CCCP made me believe that higher education is a space for me.”

From her time as a UCLA student to her continued work building community and creating spaces of belonging, Jewel’s journey reflects the lasting power of transfer-centered support.

Your gift helps more community college students find the guidance, confidence, and community they need to claim their place in higher education.

From Los Angeles Pierce College to UCLA, Erin Nosco ’18 found more than a transfer pathway through CCCP. She found mentorship, purpose, and a career direction that continues to shape her work today. 💙💛

As a CCCP peer mentor, Erin supported other community college students as they navigated the transfer process and imagined new possibilities for themselves. The lessons she gained through that experience continue to guide how she serves, leads, and creates opportunities for others.

“CCCP helped me find a career path that motivates and fulfills me. Now I carry on the purpose and lessons I learned as a peer mentor at CCCP.”

As we celebrate 25 years of CCCP, we honor alumni like Erin who continue carrying the power of transfer forward.

Her path to UCLA was not straightforward, but Blanca Alcantara-Hershey ’14 transformed rejection and uncertainty into resilience, purpose, and a commitment to opening doors for others. 💙💛

Through CCCP and the Summer Intensive Transfer Experience, Blanca found the guidance, mentorship, and sense of belonging that helped her recognize the strength already within her story. Today, she supports undocumented, DACAmented, refugee, mixed-status, first-generation, and transfer students through advocacy and identity-affirming programs.

As Blanca prepares to begin her Ph.D. journey, she continues to carry forward the encouragement she once received:

“Because of CCCP, I don’t just see myself as someone who made it through. I see myself as someone who has the power to pave the way for future transfer students.”

For Nate Hoffman ’24, CCCP helped transform UCLA from something that once felt out of reach into a place where he could grow, lead, and help other students recognize what is possible for them.

As a CCCP Scholar and Peer Advisor, Nate supported students through programs, campus visits, and community-building experiences that reminded them they belonged at UCLA and beyond. Today, he continues carrying that purpose forward by becoming the kind of leader he once needed.

Nate’s story reflects 25 years of CCCP empowering transfer students to see their potential, pursue new opportunities, and lead with purpose.

For Jessica Hall ’20, CCCP has always been about more than reaching a destination. It has been about transforming the path itself.

From her own transfer journey to her continued work alongside students, colleagues, and community partners, Jessica has helped carry forward CCCP’s commitment to breaking barriers and creating institutions where transfer students are seen, heard, and supported.

Her story reminds us that transfer success is not only measured by graduation. It lives in the relationships we build, the systems we challenge, and the doors we hold open for those coming next.

As CCCP celebrates 25 years, we honor Jessica and the many transfer advocates whose leadership continues to reshape what is possible.

For Marilyn Martinez ’22, CCCP helped transform uncertainty into understanding.

“CCCP helped me realize that my lack of knowledge regarding higher education was not due to a lack of intelligence, but rather due to a lack of resources and access.”

Marilyn’s reflection speaks to the heart of CCCP’s work. For 25 years, CCCP has helped community college students access the guidance, information, mentorship, and community they deserve as they navigate the transfer process.

Her story is one of many that remind us why access matters and why this work must continue.

Celebrate 25 years of CCCP by making a gift to support the next generation of transfer scholars. Every contribution helps provide scholarships, peer mentorship, and academic preparation for students building their own paths forward.
