LMU’s Vet2Peer program, led by a woman Veteran, provides Veterans with the training and skills needed to become certified Peer Support Specialists. Through mental health practices, participants are prepared to guide others in recovery with a strong focus on the unique needs of women Veterans.

Today, April 4, Carla Cortez, Director of LMU Extension at Loyola Marymount University, will be attending the 24th Annual Southern California Health Care Symposium! This day-long forum includes innovative sessions and resources for community health care leaders, providers, and staff.

Carla Cortez will be joined by Eric Dunker, Ph.D., of the National Center for Apprenticeship Degrees (NCAD), and Julia Horn, M.Ed., of Propel America, to speak on creating a more diverse health care talent pipeline in Los Angeles County.
