National Nonprofit Day gives us a chance to recognize how nonprofits strengthen communities and expand opportunities through everyday dedication and service. It’s a moment to appreciate the people who show up with purpose and compassion, doing the kind of work that rarely (if ever) gets the spotlight. At EmpowHer Institute, this day feels especially meaningful as we prepare for our Black Women Nonprofit Leaders Forum. Today, we honor the Black women who lead nonprofit organizations and challenge systemic barriers every day. Their resilience, expertise, and lived experiences serve as examples of what thoughtful, grounded, creative, community-centered, and impactful leadership looks like, especially when navigating uncertainty while balancing personal and community well‑being. As we honor National Nonprofit Day, we celebrate the women whose leadership continues to shape the nonprofit sector. Their work inspires the next generation of girls to rise with confidence and purpose, and their voices remind us why this sector matters. We invite you to be part of our full‑day forum on September 3, 2026, and join a space rooted in growth, leadership, and community impact. Register today at www.empowher.org.
