Congratulations to my students ARIA WANG and NATHAN TAM on receiving their Senior Medallion Awards from the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) at the Award Night organized by MTAC Glendale Branch. Aria studied with me for over 13 years, Nathan for 9 years. They both completed the Advanced level of the MTAC Certificate of Merit. They are my musical kids, my musical family. Such hardworking students, and kind, humble, positive young people full of enthusiasm, strength, and persistence. It’s my pride and honor to be their musical mentor. Wishing them the best luck as they further pursue their education: Aria at the Yale University, major Physics and Mechanical Engineering, Nathan at the Washington University in St. Luis, major Political Science and Pre-Law, and officially a member of WashU men’s tennis team. Congratulations to my two students, Angela Henderson and Caleb Chung, for winning the Glendale Memorial Scholarships for their piano performance.👏$👏$👏 Grateful for the opportunity to perform their repertoire in front of a panel of 3 distinguished professors/evaluators. Many thanks to MTAC Glendale for organizing this events for our high school seniors and juniors.

The first Zoom Fall Recital organized by Music Teacher Association of California was very successful. Beautiful performances by hard working and talented students. I had 2 students, Daria and Cavon, perform their pieces.What a beautiful and professional setting they had for this event.❤️🎹

We finally received all the certificates, honors, and awards from the Certificate of Merit 2020. So proud of all my students who successfully finished this evaluation program despite all the challenges we faced this year. They are true musicians at their hearts! ❤️🎶We got 11 State Honors, 7 Branch Honors (4 students with the highest 5+ honors), 100% Music Theory Award, and 1 Senior Medallion! Congratulations to all!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My piano student, Cavon Hajimiri, is playing “The Cuckoo” by Daquin. He won the 2nd place at the Crescendo International Competition and will perform at the Carnegie Hall in New York on January 18, 2020. Congrats! 🎉

Proud to say that all of our students who took Certificate of Merit this year got State and Branch Honors. Congratulations to all! This is a performance of one of my students at the Honors Recital, Jade Maria Valdes, who was honored with the highest grade of 5+. She plays Bach, Invention No. 8 in F Major.
