Happy Read Across America Week 📚✨

We kicked off the week by dressing up as our favorite book characters! Students and teachers rocked fun shirts and creative costumes to celebrate the joy of reading.

We also launched our daily DEAR time (Drop Everything and Read) — where students stop and read once a day all week long. 📖💛

It’s been such an exciting and inspiring way to celebrate the love of books!

Lashon Academy City families, staff, and students came together at Baldwin Hills Overlook for fresh air, great talks, and beautiful views. So many special memories made 🤍

Black History Month at Lashon Academy City has been filled with learning, celebration, and meaningful moments 💛✊🏽

As the month comes to a close, we’re so grateful to look back at the amazing experiences our students shared — from a powerful guest speaker who inspired our community, to a thoughtful presentation led by one of our wonderful parents, and a joyful Friendship Day celebration that reminded us of the importance of connection and kindness.

Thank you to our staff, families, and students for making this month so special. The learning, pride, and unity we experienced will continue far beyond February ❤️🖤💚

Today, our upper grade scholars from Lashon Academy City visited UCLA in celebration of Black History Month. Students explored campus spaces, participated in engaging activities, and learned about the many resources that support college success.

Representation, exposure, and opportunity matter — and today was a reminder that our students belong in spaces where futures are built.

We believe our scholars can do the impossible, and we hope this experience sparked inspiration, confidence, and college dreams that will continue to grow 💙🎓
