Sad News: One of the best students I've ever taught, Karla Anzorena-Estrada, died last week of a stroke. She was only 21 years old. Karla was bright, sweet, well-liked by fellow students, volunteered repeatedly at printing functions and worked as my assistant in the after school printing club. She'll be missed.

After 21 years of service to the Venice HS community (and 33 to the the District) the LAUSD has decided to remove Mr. Lindauer from Venice HS and make him a substitute teacher just two years before his retirement. A fine pat-on-the-back for a job well done to an instructor whose students have received numerous awards every single year he has taught at Venice HS and who has received numerous awards himself. Mr. Lindauer also brought in over $3 million of grants to the shop making it the best equipped high school graphics program west of the Mississippi river. The LAUSD truly knows how to reward its outstanding teachers.
