PEOPLE OF THE ABSENCE
A new play by Stacey Martino
Directed by Valentino Ferreira

“It’s the sweltering summer of 2016 in the south side of San Antonio and three generations of the Medina family are reunited just as the country wrestles with its darkest shadow. While mass protesting erupts, the family is united in a series of unexpected ceremonies forcing them to face uncomfortable truths. The old neighborhood wisdom, "You live in the circle, you die in the circle" takes on new meaning as the earth herself sinks with grief, threatening to swallow the roots of the Medina family tree.”

Featuring: Michael Brainard, Irene Bedard, Tara Ann Culp, Bertila Damas, Valentino Ferreira, Casey Kramer, Rose Portillo, Rogelio T Ramos, Ava Rivera, Rene Rivera, Jama Williamson
