College Knowledge Week was a success! 🎓🐻
Throughout the week, our students connected directly with admissions representatives through dedicated RepVisits from USC, The University of Chicago, and Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles.
Our seniors also participated in a Whittier College Instant Decision Day, earning college decisions right here on campus.
We closed out the week with our College & Career Fair, where more than 25 colleges, universities, and organizationsjoined us to connect with students across all grade levels.
And the biggest news of the week:
🎉 100% COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE RATE for the second year in a row! 🎉
Every senior in the Class of 2027 has now earned at least one college acceptance, continuing the standard set by our founding graduating class.
And we are only getting started. More applications, more acceptances, more scholarships, and more opportunities ahead. 🎓

Flashback Friday to our incredible 11th grader Kali traveling across the world! 🌎🗺️✈️ “This summer, I had the opportunity to travel across the world to the University of Oxford in England to learn more about two fields I’m deeply passionate about: literature and artificial intelligence. I got to learn about AI ethics and how AI can help with complex decisions, while also learning more about sonnets and poetry from around the world. Being able to learn in a completely different environment than I’m used to in America was such an amazing experience.

The campus was beyond perfect. Words honestly can’t describe how gorgeous it was. The architecture, history, and libraries were some of my favorite parts. Walking around campus at night and spending time with my international friends are memories I’ll never forget.

Outside of learning, I got to visit Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s hometown, and London. Going to the Big Ben, exploring Soho, and even experiencing a haunted dungeon with my friends made the trip even more unforgettable.

I met people from so many different countries and made friendships I’m forever grateful for. I got to challenge myself, step outside my comfort zone, and experience something I never thought I would.

Although literature and AI seem completely different, Oxford showed me how both can shape the way we understand people and the world around us. I left with new perspectives, new friendships, and even more curiosity about my future.
Coming back to SEED LA, I hope to share what I learned and encourage other students to go after opportunities that may seem far away or outside of their league. Oxford was something I never imagined for myself, and now I want others to know that they can reach places they never thought were possible. “-Kali P
