Can you guess the animal?

Kids love this animal detectives lesson plan! A great game to play at home or in the gym. Gymnastics coaches- this is a GREAT warm up game!

Give kids 3 descriptions of an animal. They show you their guesses by showing you how that animal would move (Sshh! No talking 😝). After they have made their guesses you tell them which animal you were describing and then you share how you would move like that animal! Point out all of the great ideas from your students too!

Animal ideas:
Camel- pike walks (making a hump)
Duck- squats
Frog- frog jumps
Caterpillar- walk hands to push up position
Cheetah- push up position mountain climbers

The possibilities are endless!

Grab a piece of paper and something to draw with for a fun quick drawing fitness challenge game!

Super fun for the entire family to workout together 🙌

For my gymnastics followers- this is a super fun way to incorporate a game into your rotations! After each rotation, if they worked hard and took tons of turns (or whatever your criteria) they get 10 seconds to draw a picture that you show them. 💪

Thinking positively is a skill that needs training just like a cartwheel.

We are talking about how to turn negative self talk into positive and motivating self talk in DaniBee’s Session 2 classes.

When you have a negative thought or are feeling frustrated- try these tips:

🛑 stop and take a deep breath.
🗣 communicate that you are feeling frustrated
🧘‍♀️ take a break and do something else
♥️ turn the negative into a positive. Ex: “Wow, this is really challenging. Even though I can’t do it yet, I am getting better after each try.”
🥰 remember your struggle does not define you- it just means you need more practice.
👍Challenges are good 😎 they make you even better!
