Ana’s story in our last annual report is one of resilience and rediscovery.
When she first arrived in the U.S., she faced the challenge of building a life for her family while navigating limited English and putting her own goals on hold. Over time, with support from PUENTE, she found the confidence to pursue her own education—strengthening her English, working toward her high school diploma, and becoming an active leader in her community of Boyle Heights.
Stories like Ana’s are just as powerful today as the day we shared them. They’re a reminder that this work is ongoing, and the impact continues every single day.

That's a wrap on another inspiring Healthcare Saturdays with Keck and PUENTE! 🎉
This past Saturday, we came together to celebrate our students.
Through our partnership with USC Keck School of Medicine, students have spent the past months participating in monthly workshops exploring careers in healthcare—learning directly from professionals and gaining real insight.
Throughout the program, students also completed CPR training and earned their certification, building critical, life-saving skills along the way.
We’re especially proud to celebrate our seniors who are taking their next step into college and pursuing careers in healthcare.
Thank you USC Keck and Dr. Harlan for your continued support in making these opportunities possible year after year.

Our Parent Ambassador Leaders (PALS) are making a real difference in our community. 💙
At our latest Food Distribution, they connected with families and students, sharing mental health resources and helping make support feel more accessible and less intimidating.
At PUENTE Charter, families are part of the experience. Through programs like PALS, parents have real opportunities to get involved, build community, and support their child’s success every step of the way.

Last week, our Charter team traveled to San Diego to participate in the Community Engagement Initiative (CEI) training, joining thousands of educators from across California dedicated to strengthening school and community partnerships.
The Community Engagement Initiative helps schools build meaningful relationships with families and community partners to better support student success. Our team is excited to bring back new strategies and ideas to strengthen engagement across our school community! 🤝✨
