Our Story
In 1973, Vista Village, formally Home-SAFE, established an innovative service model that combined family support services, mental health services, parent education, counseling, and childcare. Today, our Hollywood based organization continues to provide holistic, customized and supportive care to pregnant women and families with children 0-4 from Santa Monica to Eagle Rock. With the support of our parent agency Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services and our partnership with Early Head Start, we serve the community with three comprehensive, relationship based, family led programs: Childcare, Early Head Start Home-Based and Early Head Start Childcare Partnership. Vista Village creates nurturing and equitable beginnings for both our staff and the families we serve led by our values of Compassion, Equity and Inclusion, Meaningful Connections, a Growth Mindset, and Transparency. Our staff is composed of professionals from different backgrounds and lived experiences to meet the diverse needs of our families. Our culture is one that respects, celebrates, and utilizes our diversity to unlearn biases and find common understandings. We work with them to identify their unique strengths and goals, then provide customized support that includes access to opportunities they historically have not had access to. Our Result
