What an amazing weekend! 🥳

In July, I won Skool games and was invited to a one-day mastermind with Alex Hormozi, whose business advice and content I had followed for years. 🥹

..I also got to meet other incredible entrepreneurs and my lovely friend Evelyn Weiss

What an incredible experience.

I will cherish all the friendships made and implement Alex's advice to grow my business (his suggested tweaks can easily help me 10x my business in the next 12 months)😲.

It really got me thinking about mentorship...and how valuable it is to be with people who are further ahead.

They have the experience and see things we can't see ourselves.

A change of perspective and sometimes just a tweak can massively improve your whole business.

P.S. We had a little fun and brought some bavarian dirndl to bring some of that bavarian/Austrian culture to Vegas :D

Yesterday, I hosted a live presentation for coaches and entrepreneurs interested in creating their own journals and planners.

..Well, as it turns out, I had an unexpected guest speaker! 😱😂

Paul (5 years old) decided it was his turn to share some knowledge on the whiteboard 🙃🤣.

In that moment, I felt pretty stressed. I had about 50 people watching live and hundreds more catching the replay. I worried that I wouldn’t come across as professional and that people might not take me or my message as seriously anymore.

I didn't want this to overshadow the message of what I’ve worked so hard to achieve—building a stationery business that has generated WELL over $1 million in sales and helping my clients consistently create six-figure journals.

But then, I had a realization...

I grew my business while Paul was a toddler. What you saw during the presentation is simply an authentic reflection of what it means to be both a mother and an entrepreneur.

And you know what? We can do it!

Behind the scenes, things often look far less professional than people imagine. Honestly, my day-to-day can be pretty chaotic.

But that’s the reality of juggling life and business—and still thriving!

If you ever feel like others have their s**t together and you don't, and therefore you can't be successful... know that's a lie.

Perfection is not needed for success.

The only thing needed is to do it anyway and be fast.

Have you ever had the best intentions to transform your life and business? 🌟

You really want to launch a new product this year, yet you are stuck. Time passes, and no journal or planner is created. 😓

You see others celebrating their launches while your idea is still just that…only an idea.

You are not alone…you most likely are faced with “resistance.” 💭

I want to share something with you that has made a significant difference for me when facing the challenge of Resistance, especially when it comes to creating my own products.

A few years ago, I read the book "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield, and I've learned to recognize and combat the feeling.

Resistance is an internal force that prevents you from pursuing your goals, often manifesting as procrastination, fear, self-doubt, or distractions. 😟

In my journey, there are times when the weight of Resistance feels overwhelming, making it difficult to stay motivated and productive.

This feeling can be particularly strong when working on new products.

We all experience these feelings; it is a very natural human experience.

It is also a very human experience to not live up to our dreams.

So what can we do to not have our dreams robbed by “resistance”?

I've found strategies that help me push through:

Acknowledging Resistance: Just as Pressfield suggests in his book, I acknowledge that Resistance is a natural part of the creative process. Recognizing it helps me not to feel alone or uniquely burdened.

Future-Self Mindset: I remind myself that if I give into my natural human fears, I’ll never live the life I dream of. I switch my mindset to “Thrive” mode. Meaning, I remind myself of why I want to create my products and what my goals are. I do it for “future me.” 🚀

Deadline: I set myself deadlines - without them, nothing happens. ⏳

Intense Sprints: I know I am not consistent as a person. My clients and I thrive when they have short periods of focused work on a project. I find that 4 to 6 weeks is the perfect time to create a new product. 🏃‍♀️

Accountability: When I am working with others, like my team or my clients, I find myself so motivated, and it’s so much easier for me to overcome resistance and just do it. 💼

The most crucial lesson from "The War of Art" is that Resistance never goes away, but we can learn to dance with it.

Every time I push through, I become more resilient and more capable of tackling future challenges.

My first product was harder than the 12th one. 🌟

Here's a little exercise that works for me when Resistance feels particularly strong:

Ask Yourself: What will happen if I don't push through? How will I feel in the future if I give in to Resistance now?
Visualize Success: Picture yourself succeeding. What does that look like? How does it feel? 🏆
Take Action: Start with small steps. Even the smallest progress can build momentum. 🛠️
The moral of this story is:

You need to understand yourself and find what strategies help you overcome Resistance.

What vision or goal can energize you to keep going?

For me, it's the image of my products being used and appreciated by people all over the world. It's knowing that I didn't let Resistance win. 🌍

On Jul 1, 2024, I start my next creative sprint together with the team and a small group of clients. Together we create our newest product(s) in just 6 weeks.

Just in time before my 2-week holiday at the end of August. ✈️
