After months of hard work, I’ve earned my Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.

This moment is more than a certificate—it’s a reminder that leadership is built on purpose, perseverance, and a deep belief in what’s possible for our schools.

Great schools don’t just happen. They’re led with vision, heart, and strategy. I’m honored to keep growing in this work and grateful for every lesson along the way. 🫶🏽

Today, the merger was approved.

As principal, I felt the weight of this moment in my chest.

Over the past few months, I’ve led our school through uncertainty, emotion, and deep transition. I carried the weight of my team’s fears, our students’ questions, and our families’ hopes—while navigating my own.

I’ve learned that being a principal isn’t just about strategy—it’s about emotional labor.
It’s about listening deeply, holding steady, and staying human in the process.

We didn’t just survive this change—we moved through it together, with care and courage.

And when the merger takes effect on July 1st, we won’t be starting over.
We’ll be bringing our roots with us.

Still feeling energized after co-facilitating last night’s roundtable with Dr. Laura McGowan-Robinson at the 2025 Spring ECPI PLC!

We met with school and district leaders to talk about what it really takes to lead for equity—and why culturally grounded, identity-affirming leadership development is non-negotiable if we want better outcomes for students of color and those most marginalized.

We don’t need more checkbox PD. We need brave spaces to grow, reflect, and lead with corazón.

Tonight’s “Leading with Corazón” event was everything. Being in space with my hermana, Dr. , reminded me how powerful it is to have leaders who lead with corazón, conviction, and comunidad. Grateful for her light and example—it keeps the path lit for all of us coming up. 🫶🏽

As a principal, I’m always looking for ways to better serve our multilingual learners—and today’s session, Empowering MLs: Leveraging AI for Academic Language Growth, lit a fire in me! From lightening teacher workload to accelerating student language development, AI holds so much promise when used with purpose and equity at the center. School leaders—this is where the future of education is headed. Let’s lean in.

Resting, recharging, and not feeling guilty about it. Took a peaceful trip to Niagara Falls and gave myself the gift of stillness.

What an incredible morning at the first-ever Elevate Leadership Conference at Cal State Dominguez Hills!

I had the honor of learning from Dr. Judi Newman—an inspiring neuroscientist and educator—whose session helped me reflect on how our brains impact how we lead, learn, and support others. I also really enjoyed the AI workshop and walked away with practical tools I’m excited to use in my coaching.

There’s something so powerful about being in community with passionate, purpose-driven leaders. My heart and mind are full!

Today’s VOICES fundraiser showed the power of community—every dollar raised will support a staff member affected by the Eaton fires! 💙🙌

It’s inspiring to see their dedication to creating classrooms and schools that foster resilience, understanding, and growth. Grateful to be part of this impactful and meaningful work!

Today, I received flowers from one of my freshman students—a reminder of the power of strong principal-student relationships. This semester was tough, but they showed up, embraced mentorship, and passed all their classes. 🌸
