We’re not all about books here! Movies are just as impactful! Today, we’re recommending Suffragette (2015), which provides a beautiful and difficult picture of working women who participated in the suffragette movement. It’s moving and excellent. Check it out!
Woman's Place Podcast
Woman’s place is wherever she wants to be. Join us on a journey to discover how we earned and fought for the right to choose our own fates!
To properly fight for our rights today we have to go back and learn about important thinkers and revolutionaries. I could go on all day about Mary Wollstonecraft (but I won’t). Take a read through her Vindication of the Rights of Woman and check out our episode on her Thoughts on the Education of Daughters to take a deeper dive.
What has education done for you?

NEW EPISODE STREAMING TODAY!! Women’s organizations that effected change is the theme of the season, and today’s episode covers 19th century American ladies’ aid, benevolent, relief , and missionary societies. Learn about how women can do incredible things with their power, especially when united!
Today is a very important day to me. I was 17 when I first experienced it in Russia, 15 years ago. I was treated with so much respect and love that I could hardly handle it. I didn’t know what to do with that power. I like to think I have a better idea these days, and I just want to wish each and every woman out there a happy day and send a quick reminder about how powerful you are!
Today also marks the premiere of our season two! Episode 1 is live today talking about some of the women’s organizations that have effected so much change and wielded so much collective power.
Today, women (and all those who empower the women in their lives), I bestow upon you the honor, respect, and love that I experienced those 15 years ago on my first International Women’s Day in Russia. ❤️🥰
