Check it out! Kudos to UCLA School of Law Veterans Legal Clinic students Lydia Nicholson and Brendan Pratt and Professors Sunita Patel and Jeanne Nishimoto for contributing to this valuable report:
The LA Metro board will soon be considering a renewal of a $786 million, five-year policing contract.
The “Metro as a Sanctuary” report lays out a new vision for safety on transit and calls for reinvesting those funds into community safety through services, programs and environmental design.
Together, we can end the criminalization of Metro riders, and build care-centered transit.
