Our big kids also went back to school over the past week 🚌 🍎! We miss all of our big kids so much but we also love to hear what they’re up to and see them on their first days of school! Happy new school year to all of our alumni!

First week of the 2026-2027 school year, done and done ✔️

What a great first week of school! We welcomed new families, moved to new classes, and ended the week with our annual Welcome Back BBQ and celebrated FIVE years of Delaney Wright Eagle Rock! We loved seeing all the alumni who were able to make it to our BBQ and celebrate the beginning of our fifth birthday celebration together!

A huge thank you to Alberto, Dulce, and Jose for the amazing tacos and agua frescas and to our fave faves playgrounds.la for the best lemonade 🌮🍋!

We cannot wait to see all that the 2026-2027 school year has in store for us 🍎!

We were out and about in our neighborhood this morning paying a visit to our neighbors at Creature's Plants & Coffee 🌻🌿! The Eucalyptus class (aka the Ravens 🐦‍⬛ for the summer) explored the different plants and even got to touch a mimosa plant (whose leaves close when they are touched!). A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at Creature’s!

We pumped, we splashed, we got to spray the teachers, and we had a blast getting wet and cooling down with Pump and Splash this morning ☀️! We beat the heat and got turn and crank to our hearts’ content! Summer 2026 with Camp Delaney Wright Eagle Rock has been a fun one and even though Summer Session is winding down, we’re savoring every moment of these last two weeks together!

We had a REPTACULAR morning with Critter Christina from Reptacular Ranch! We got to see and pet some amazing animals, including Chocolate and Chip the hissing cockroaches 🪳, Emil the hognose snake 🐍, Tinkerbell the Pixie Frog 🐸, Mirabel the Curly Haired Tarantula 🕷️, Cujo the Savannah Monitor 🦎, Jenifer Slopez the desert tortoise 🐢, and Loki the Burmese Python 🐍! We even got to hold Mirabel on our heads and let Loki rest in our laps!

A HUGE thank you as always to the amazing staff at Reptacular and to Critter Christina for another amazing lesson!

WHAT a morning we had! Bob Baker Marionette Theater was in the house and we were treated to a fantastic marionette show! We loved getting to see a few of the 3,000 puppets at Bob Baker Marionette Theater and were completely enthralled 💃! A massive thank you to Elena from BBMT for such a fun morning!

It’s HABITATS week and what better way to learn about habitats than a visit from the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium! C. W**d Snail and all his sea creature friends joined us for a very fun morning! We learned about different sea animals and got to explore different sea and tide pool animals 🪼🦀🐡🦈🐋🐠!

A HUGE thank you to Sabrina and Joy from the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium for another amazing morning!

We also beat the heat 🥵 last Friday at our annual Summer Celebration with some delicious shaved ice from Kona Ice! We celebrated our graduating class and the beginning of summer ☀️ in the best way we know how! We had a blast hanging out with everyone and enjoying some delicious shaved ice 🍧 (and sangria made by our very own Head of Schools, Jaime)! Now summer can officially begin!

Congratulations to the Delaney Wright Fine Arts Preschool Eagle Rock Class of 2026…you all are GOLDEN 🎓🎓🎓✨!

This past Friday we celebrated our Class of 2026 with a loosely K-Pop Demon Hunter-themed celebration! Each June is so bittersweet with the joys of summer but also the beginning of saying goodbye to our big kids! We are so immensely proud of our Class of 2026 and cannot wait to hear about all the adventures and fun of ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!
