9 Months Later — ITS FINALLY HERE 😍😍

You see you don’t need another productivity planner.
You need a life that finally feels like yours.

You followed the plan.
Built the résumé.
Tried to make everyone proud.
Ticked every box you were told would lead to happiness.

And yet, somewhere between becoming successful and becoming responsible…
you lost touch with you.

Not because your purpose disappeared.

Because it became buried beneath:

😫 Other people’s expectations.
😢 Survival-mode decisions.
😣 Societal conditioning.
🥺 Roles you learned to perform.
💔 A life designed by everyone—but you.

The Ikigai Workbook is your invitation to come home to yourself.

Across 30 guided pages, you’ll uncover:

✦ What genuinely makes you feel alive
✦ The strengths you may have learned to minimize
✦ The values that should guide your next chapter
✦ The difference between external success and internal alignment
✦ A clearer vision for the life, work and impact you are here to create

This is not about finding one perfect job title.

It is about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be.

30 pages. $55. One unshakeable clarity.

From identity to mission.

Me llamo Suzanne. Me llamo Isabella
Y Soy la fundadora de School of Ikigai

Ayudo a las personas a recordar quiénes eran antes de que el mundo les dijera quiénes debían ser.

I just dropped something SO raw. It’s scary. 😳

This is, hands down, the rawest part of my story — the part I’ve never shared until now.

Why?

I was scared. 😔 Scared of being judged, again. I never felt like I belonged anywhere. Too much for here. Too loud for there.

The honest truth — even if I never wanted to admit it: I shrank. Yup. I did. It took me a long time to say that out loud to myself.

People loved versions of me that felt comfortable for them.

In the Western world, my hijab wasn’t accepted. Free world. No judgment. Welcoming 🌍 — except when it came to the career paths handed to my white friends who barely passed university, never volunteered, and had everything paid for.

When I took it off, I grieved. 💔 I didn’t want to. But three years of debt and calls from collectors broke me down. One collector told me in twenty years, no one had ever actually answered his calls. I told him I wasn’t running — no one would hire me, not even for minimum wage. I was willing to do anything. He empathized & wished me well.

The Muslim community I grew up in here was nothing like home in Lebanon. 🇱🇧 It was judgmental in a way I’d never experienced — when I wore the hijab, I was too much, too outspoken, too challenging of the status quo. When I took it off, I was sentenced to hell and cut off. Gossip. Texts. Calls to my parents.

I never felt like I belonged anywhere. Being seen was the hardest thing I ever did.

The weight of it pushed me into depression, into dark thoughts. 🖤 I nearly left this world more than once. Hospitals became my first home — in and out, bedridden eight months of the year.

I still love my Islam. 🤍 Just not the version I grew up around here.

So I made myself a promise, deep in that rut: I would take the oppression I faced — being forced to remove my hijab just to pay my bills — and build a school that eventually offers jobs, at any level of religious or human expression, with ZERO judgment.

I’m not God. Who am I to judge?
Isn’t that the whole point of being human? To love each other. To support each other. To be judgment-free — and catch ourselves when we’re not?

It’s okay to slip up. That’s what being human is. What isn’t okay is failing to reflect, learn, and make it right when we do.

I’m sharing this raw, with an open heart 🙏 — because somewhere out there, it will speak to someone.

This is my purpose.
This is the very reason I built the School of Ikigai. ✨

AI didn’t replace me. I almost replaced myself.💔

Here’s what happened the moment I stopped using AI to entirely write for me…

After 9 months of immersing myself in AI last September — learning from industry mentors, studying tools, and exploring how this technology can transform the way we work — I noticed something I didn’t expect.

A void. 🫥

Somewhere along the way, I stopped writing from my heart.

I started writing to keep up.

To post every day.
To make sure everything sounded polished.
To create the “perfect” version of myself online.

But I forgot something important:

🫂 People don’t connect with perfection. They connect with humanity.

The messy stories.
The lessons still unfolding.
The moments where we’re still figuring it out.

I realized I wasn’t creating “polished” content for the algorithm …

I was translating my anxiety into every post.😢

And no amount of AI optimization could fix that.

Because the truth is:

👉 Your story is something no tool can create.

Only you lived it.

I went off the grid for 3.5 years.
I carried those experiences.
Those lessons.
Those moments of transformation.

AI doesn’t need to replace my voice.

It simply needs to help me share it.

To organize.
To repurpose.
To save time.

But the heart? 🤎

That stays human.

My friends used to tell me:

“Isa, you’re not showing up as yourself online.”😳

And honestly… I didn’t understand what they meant.

I thought showing up meant curating better content.

But maybe showing up means something much simpler:

🥹Writing like you’re sitting across from a friend.

No performance.
No pretending.
No perfect version.

Just you.

The worst part? I wasn’t cognizant of it.

So the next chapter is learning how to use AI without losing the human behind it.

I’ll share more about this in our second newsletter on July 13.

Habibi, this is your sign to respira… and get lost. 😆🤌🏼

People often ask me, “𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦?”

😳 And my answer is never what they expect. They assume I’ll give them some textbook philosophical response…

But my answer is simple:

Go get lost. 😌

I know…

But hear me out.

We rarely find our answers on perfectly paved GPS roads. We find them on the other side of certainty—out there in the wild.

The moment you give your spirit permission to roam freely, you begin to remember who you were before all the noise—the titles, expectations, labels, and endless opinions.

The School of Ikigai is a reminder that there’s a life waiting for you beyond the familiar. A life filled with the moments you’ve always dreamed about, the places you’ve secretly saved, and the memories you were meant to create.

Why high-achievers secretly keep restarting their lives 😪

Ps. I’m one from that pool of people, & I’d love to leave you with what I found out after 9 years of Hustle Culture // Strong Independent Women Feminism that left me burnt out to the ground.

1) You’re not scattered.
2) You’re not undisciplined.
3) You’re not afraid of success.

So what’s in fact going on? 😮‍💨

Your nervous system not learning that it’s safe to stay.

I see this pattern constantly — in my clients, in myself, in every high-achiever who has restarted their life more times than they can count. (IKYKWIM)

New program. New city. New identity. Am I right?

And every single time — right at the edge of real momentum — something pulls the brake.

We call it self-sabotage.
We call it fear.
We reach for another planner, another morning routine, another 75-day challenge.

But what if the problem was never discipline?

What if your body learned — somewhere early, somewhere formative — that movement meant survival.
And staying still meant danger. 😳🤯😶‍🌫️

So repetition — the quiet, unglamorous thing that actually *builds* a life —registers as a threat.

(𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒎𝒆 𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑶𝑽𝑬𝑹 — 𝒘𝒂𝒓-𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅, 𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒕𝒓𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈, 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒈𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒏 😓😔)

Not metaphorically.
**Physically.**

No productivity system in the world can override a dysregulated nervous system.

The most successful version of you isn’t the most disciplined one.
☝🏼 It’s the most *regulated* one.

The one who can stay.
Who can receive. (𝑳𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒔𝒔 𝑰 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔)
Who can build something without burning it down when it starts to feel real.

That’s the work we don’t talk about enough.
And it’s the work that changes everything.

🍁 Canada Day is not only a celebration—it is also a day of truth, remembrance, and accountability. 🧡

As we reflect on Canada’s achievements, we must also honour the generations of Indigenous families whose children were taken from them under the residential school system.

🧡 More than 150,000 First Nations, Inuit, and Métis children were forcibly removed from their families and placed in residential schools between 1863 and the 1970s.

📜 Following the 1876 Indian Act, these government- and church-run institutions sought to erase Indigenous cultures by forcing children to:
✂️ Cut their long hair.
🗣️ Stop speaking their own languages.
🚫 Abandon their traditions and identities.
💔 Many endured physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.

🕊️ It is estimated that at least 6,000 children died, while many families never learned what happened to their loved ones. The discovery of more than 1,000 unmarked graves at former residential school sites shook the nation and reminded us that this history is not ancient—it continues to shape lives today.

🇨🇦 Canada Day can be both a celebration of the country we aspire to be and a commitment to confronting the truths that have shaped it.

Reconciliation is not a destination. It is a responsibility.

Today, may we celebrate with humility, listen with open hearts, and work toward a future built on justice, respect, and the dignity of every nation that has called this land home.

The biggest scam of the world is this …

🫩 Working 40 hours a week for someone else’s dream

🤐Working 365 days of a year only to get 2 weeks vacation
Putting in a request from your superior for personal reasons (family, mental health, kids, self care ‘which practically doesn’t exist’)

😵‍💫 Explaining why you need to take of yourself or your personal affairs, providing medical notes, etc

Not growing your own food
Not seeing your own children grow up, because there’s simply no time

The Scam?

We saw it during Covid.

The conglomerate pharmaceutical industries banked millions off your own health while small businesses shut down.

This didn’t affect the 1% … just the rest of us.

The less independent thinkers, entrepreneurs we have, the slimmer the distribution of wealth becomes.

Wealth belongs to all of us.
Because financial independence = security
Security = time
Time = Freedom
