Oh, no. Don’t get me wrong.

100k subscribers is a huge deal.

I’m incredibly grateful for this milestone and all the hard work that went into it.

I lived and breathed YouTube – from coming up with video ideas, scripting, filming, editing, and more.

But when I got to that point of getting 100k subscribers, I honestly felt kind of meh about it.

Why?

Because I always knew I was going to get there.

Yes, I hit a milestone. But the real win was focusing (and enjoying) the journey getting there.

It was the consistent effort and focus I had that made this milestone inevitable for me.

Too often, we tie our worth to outcomes.

And that’s destructive, especially for us creatives.

It’s really the love for the process that fuels real success.

So here’s a friendly tip: don’t let the outcome overshadow the beauty of the process. Embrace the journey and celebrate all your wins, whether big or small.

In time, you’ll watch yourself and your business grow.

Why do people say say they love your work, but then not buy?

Because of framing.

This matters so much more than people think and we don’t place enough focus on it.

The most common scenario I see is products with a higher price tag on a website that doesn’t look professional or trustworthy. The product may really be worth the price, but because the website looks not so good, makes you not trust the product by association. And so customers don’t buy. The framing isn’t congruent.

Congruency, in other words, is how well everything “matches” or lines up.

The reverse is also true.

Finding a product that’s priced so cheaply in what feels like a very high end store, makes the alarm bells go off in your head. “What’s wrong with the product?” “Is it defective?” These innocent questions are enough to make a customer walk away.

One small thing that’s out of place, or incongruent in your business, is enough of a reason for someone to say they love your work and they’re going to buy it, and then completely change their mind the next day.

Getting everything in your store congruent is a fix anyone can apply in their stores to increase sales instantly. So if you haven’t done this yet, have a look at your store with an objective eye, and see what you can do to get everything to match!
