CROSS COUNTRY | ππππ ππππππ ππππππ β’ Cubs are hosting the 2nd annual We RUN LA Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 29th in partnership with Cal State LA!
All high school teams (boys and girls) are encouraged to register. Additionally, there will be a community race (open to anyone: coaches, parents, alumni, family, friends, community members, etc.) to start the day off on the same course as the HS races. We hope to see you there!

πππ β’ Congrats to our very own Loyola alum Augie Lopez β24, who was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 2026 MLB Draft!
Lopez was an All-State First Team catcher and team captain at Loyola before moving on to USC, where he earned All Big-Ten Freshman team honors, and NCAA All-West Region First Team plus Regional Most Outstanding Player honors this year, finishing his 2026 campaign with a team-high 19 HRs.
Lopez was drafted with the 22nd pick in the 10th Round, joining fellow Loyola alum Kevin Parada β20 (11th Overall/1st Round/2022 - NY Mets) as recent MLB draftees.
Congrats Augie, the Loyola Family is so proud of you!
