Preparing for emergencies are always put off to one day....Today is the day, we are having a meeting open to all, by Homeland Security, American Red Cross and FEMA along with city Disaster dept to inform our communities, churches and individuals how to prepare...IT'S FREE. Date/Time: Thursday, September 12, 2013, 6pm – 8pm
Location: Sycamore Park Foursquare Church

Purpose: To introduce faith leaders and community partners to the City's Emergency Management Department to gain new partnerships between faith leaders and government in time of crisis.
What Faith Leaders and Community Partners will Gain:
During disasters, faith leaders and community partners may play a critical role with partners to mobilize, communicate, identify and deploy resources and support to those in need. This gathering will 1) help leaders understand how to prepare their congregations and 2) give leaders a unique opportunity to share their perspectives on how emergency management can best work with their community.
