Congratulations to Anahit Malumyan, a pre-med and public health student at UCLA FSPH, for her senior capstone project on food insecurity among adolescents displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Presented for the first time this year, Anahit received an Outstanding Capstone Project Award, recognizing her project for excelling in the depth of inquiry, quality of ex*****on, and contribution to public health practice. During her project, she collaborated closely with the Poppy Project at UCLA FSPH and partners at AUA CHS. We are proud of her work and advocacy for the Artsakh community!

Join the UCLA Armenian Music Ensemble tonight for their recital as part of the 66th Annual Spring Festival of World Music!

The Armenian Music Ensemble focuses on the study and performance of traditional Armenian musical styles and repertoire. Students learn an array of songs, instruments, and dances via methods of oral transmission.

Organized by the UCLA Richard Hovannisian Endowed Chair in Modern Armenian History, “Microhistories of Armenian Early Modernity, a UCLA Workshop on Diaspora, Print Culture, Confession Building, and Governmentality (c. 1512/1598–1789)” brings together scholars to examine how individual lives, choices, and contingencies intersect with broader structural changes, offering new insights into Armenian participation in early modern history.
