These are recipients of two scholarships named after donors who support college education for students from Lincoln Heights.

On the left is Lincoln High grad, Chloe Ubiadas, who receives the Ted Wagner Scholarship given through the Lincoln Heights Dollars for Scholars. Ted Wagner was a teacher and coach at Lincoln High for over 30 years. Thank you to the Ted Wagner family.

On the right is Lincoln High grad, Vanessa Castillo, who received the Toby Solorzano Scholarship given through Dollars for Scholars. Toby worked in Human Resources at JPL and dedicated his career to minority advancement. Standing with Vanessa are Toby's UCLA classmates, Dick Hong (on the left) and Buck Wong. They along with Toby's widow, Barbara, established the Solorzano Scholarship.
