A brief lesson on Single String Soloing, which is essentially playing a scale horizontally across one string. This technique can help you with your knowledge of the fretboard, memorize the sequence of steps (whole/half) in a scale, develop dexterity in the fretting hand, and allow you to shift from one position of the neck to another.

The woodshed is oftentimes no carefree walk in the park. It can reveal inconsistencies and be frustrating! The key is to know when to take breaks, as your body and mind can both get fatigued by the process and no further progress will be made during the session. This is me at the end of mine, after running this new minor 7 arpeggio shape in all 12 keys and not quite getting where I want to with it yet.
