It’s been twelve days since the fires began, a truly unfathomable experience that has touched every single Angeleno. For a moment, I stayed quiet, my bags packed near the front door, staying vigilant to the news, texting back and forth with multiple friends at a time checking in on each other while being uncertain of what might come next.
In these challenging times, many have asked me how to release, relax, and remove the negative energies that arise from such devastation. My response has been simple: maintain your meditation practice. Breathing consciously and centering yourself in moments of chaos calms and resets the nervous system, grounding us when we feel lost.
Despite the hardship, it has been heartening to witness the best in people. My classes have been filled with individuals seeking solace, connection and healing during this turbulent time. Everyone has been so kind and supportive.
Yet, it’s equally heartbreaking to see the worst in others through news of people exploiting tragedy for personal gain. In times like these, we must remember that true wealth lies in the energy we exchange, the care, compassion and support we offer one another. That is our most valuable currency.
For those directly impacted by the fires, please know that I have guest passes available. If you or someone you know could use a day at the club to swim, relax in the sauna, or take a rejuvenating class / treatment please don’t hesitate to reach out.
May we all be safe and well,
Lizbeth
