Your brain, when given the opportunity, would prefer to be in cruise control. Doing what you’re used to doing is both comfortable and easy. Challenging your brain with unfamiliar tasks is taxing. And the older and more set-in-your-ways you become, the more difficult it can be to break out of your habitual ruts.

The key is to constantly engage your brain’s learning machinery with skills or activities that are NEW to you.” By age 30 your brain starts to weaken. Establish good habits for your child early on to be curious to learn new things!

Say thank you to your parents when you walk out of class today they see something special in each and everyone of you and taking you to these kind of classes so you can expand your skillsets. This month we are challenging our engineers to come up their own flywheel and intake mechanisms based on everything we taught them over the last few months and we adding a coding class for children ages 8-11 years old! We are teaching them how to code their own Tetris game and enjoyed showing them how to expand their critical thinking skills in a new way.

This poignant sentiment appeared in Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s award-winning, posthumous novel “The Wisdom of the Sands.” In July 1944, the French writer and aviator took off in his plane, never to be seen again. Pieces of the plane were finally discovered in the early 2000s, off the coast of Marseille, France. The world mourned the imaginative spirit behind “The Little Prince,” Saint-Exupéry’s 1943 fable featuring a wayward pilot as its narrator, which has sold 200 million copies. Saint-Exupéry did not believe in passively accepting one’s lot in life. Once he determined his goals, he took measurable steps to make them a reality. We always encourage baby steps when it's time to deconstruct what looks hard at first and taking one step at a time to get there. Hence why we shared this quote and story!
