We all come to a dead end many times during our lifetime! A dead end of a relationship, a dead end of a job, a dead end of a project, a dead end of school. But a dead end doesn’t mean the final ending. It just means that we have to find another path, another road, another Avenue in which to travel 🧭!

If we need to reroute, then so things differently! Because if you came to a dead end before; I’m pretty sure that it was because something wasn’t working.

Sometimes it is not even us, but our environment, other people around us, can hinder our progress!

Recognize what is working and what is not!

We can receive messages from our unconscious psyche through dreams, through dialogue with people, through the energies of the place we live at.

Creative practices are a great way to tap into our unconscious psyche and imagination! So much can be revealed through various modalities of creative expression.

I am currently working through symptoms, emotions, and the pain of empty nest syndrome!

I have found how healing painting can be as we experience any major changes in our lives.

I offer one-on-one sessions if you’re going through any rites of passage such as empty nest syndrome.

Coiled snake 🐍

Yesterday was the start of my fall quarter of graduate 👩🏻‍🎓 school!

we needed to respond to this quote by Discussing the cultural or historical iconography of the serpent, consider the mythical paradigm, or just provide your own alternative starting point to the rich material of this course:

“The serpent is the earthly essence of man of which he is not conscious. Its character changes according to peoples and lands, since it is the mystery that flows to him from the nourishing earth-mother.”

This was my response:

The image of a serpent reminded me of a dream I had earlier this year. The words that came through were “coiled snake.” I then amplified this dream by creating a cut-up poem. Some of the words that were revealed were: power of the dead changing spirit worlds overwhelmed by fear. This is part of human nature. Just like a serpent or snake coils up, human beings also need to retreat when they feel threatened or afraid. If not left alone, the serpent will strike. Human beings are the same way. They will defend themselves and their loved ones.

What are your own cultural thoughts around the symbol of the snake?
