About the cover: “Around the World in Fifty Volumes” by Robert Coronado, Jr., Cole Costello, Matthew Dominguez, Daniel Palodichuk, and Marina Marquez Saban. Influenced by generative AI software programs and executed with our own photography, this cover celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of Perspectives: A Journal of Historical Inquiry. The photographs were taken at Special Collections of Cal State LA’s John F. Kennedy Memorial Library; with its vast collection of books, journals, and archival materials, this was a fitting location to celebrate fifty years of student research. The globe represents the disparate locations and diverse cultures explored by generations of Cal State LA History students who have contributed their scholarship to the journal since 1973.

The end of year is near! Come celebrate with us and see the journal up close and in person!! Food is provided, all you need to do is bring yourself!! 😁

As we look through covers of previous volumes, we grow even more excited for you all to see our newest addition!

We can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store! 🤩

The accomplishments of women often go unrecognized and untold, but women have undoubtedly opened doors for more opportunities.
